Students in the Web and Digital Communications pathway work with high-end technology, use industry-standard creative software, and have the opportunity to experience how the digital and on-line profession works. Students will receive a high quality education in the web and creative fields as well as developing the highly transferable skills of innovative thinking, teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving. The web and digital communication pathway includes multimedia design components, as well as students creating, designing and coding websites and Content Management Systems, which includes the development of digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media used in business, training, entertainment, communications and marketing.
When students leave this program, they are truly prepared for both college and career. Web and Digital Communications provides the skills necessary to gain employment or to pursue advanced study.
Professional Certificate/Industry Recognized Credential:
- (Individual) Digital Portfolio-all students will create a digital portfolio to showcase their multimedia projects, technology skills set and web internships.
- Microsoft Digital Literacy Certificate-students will take the Microsoft Digital Literacy exam during year one of the pathway.

Semester 1
- Multimedia (2176) 1 credit

Semester 2
- Web Design (2177) .5 credit
- Particular Topics in Media Technology (2175) 1 credit
Semester 3 and 4 Note: These courses will be selected based on student need/interest, and teacher approval. Each semester will total 1.5 credits.
- 3D Computer Graphics (4092) 1 credit (TPS Fine Arts Credit)
- Web and Digital Communications Project Management (2183) 1 credit
- Programming for the Web, Apps and Games (2182) 1 credit
- Programming & Software Project Management (5866) 1 credit
Generally speaking, the courses in Web and Digital Communications are sequential. However there are times when the students' schedules are individually modified based on their computer background and their past courses taken at the high school.
3D Computer Graphics is Fine Arts credit.
